This game is well made and beautifully appointed. It is deliberately "distressed" to give it the look of an antique. It comes with two 1/2 inch ball bearings for the balls. The spring loaded plunger action is smooth and consistent. The flapper action is also smooth. The flapper itself looks like the head of a driver. The artwork is superb. There are plenty of hazards, both water and sand, to offer a challenge. The hole-in-one ramp requires practice to get the "sweet spot" but it is more than a matter of careful aim and timing - if you over shoot the hole-in-one cup, there is a two stroke penalty. The hole-in-one cup is divided down the middle and the ball must land in the front half to score. If the ball lands in the back half, you get the penalty. There are plenty of scoring holes out on the fairway, allowing for birdies, bogeys, and double bogeys. It is even possible to score an eagle! The rule book is made of heavy gloss card stock and contains score cards and a glossery of terms as well as assembly instructions (6 screws total). There is a peg hole track to keep track of what hole you are on by moving a golf tee along the track. There is a velvet like drawstring bag to hold the 2 ballbearings and golf tee when not in use. All in all...this game ROCKS!!!
