My daughter is 7 years old and got many wonderful horse toys for Christmas but Taffy has been the hit! This is the only "toy" she's played with consistently since Christmas. My daughter's friend equally enjoyed riding Taffy when she came over for a playdate.
Taffy has a couple of quirks here and there but none that have stopped play. Within 24 hours it went haywire and I thought for sure it was a go-back, thinking "no wonder it was on clearance!", but I replaced the batteries and it's been fine since. After having to replace the batteries so soon I was concerned that I'd constantly have to be replacing batteries but after that first change I haven't needed to replace them again-yet! I guess I just had a bad batch of new batteries.
The hair came off right away- it's not something to hold on to so just remind your child and his/her friends to not pull on the hair. I super glued it back on and I'm happy to report that the horse still has hair!
The only downside that I could see for many people is that it does take up a lot of space and it can be a challenge to find a place to keep it where it won't be forgotten but is out of the way. I know a lot of families have a designated play room and this would be great for that if you have a TV in there. I should also mention that if space is an issue, you don't need the horse to play the game but bouncing on it is a big part of the fun!
Taffy would make a great gift for a young girl! I would buy this product again. Enjoy!
